An officer made contact with a suspicious person on Union Street.
A caller reported damage to a structure on Sawmill Road. Police responded.
Thursday, January 18
An officer made contact with a suspicious vehicle at 3 Mile Lutak Road.
A caller reported a power outage on West Barnett Drive. Alaska Power & Telephone was advised.
Friday, January 19
A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the dock on Beach Road. The vehicle was permitted to be there.
A caller reported a vehicle off the road at 14 Mile Haines Highway. No one was injured. The Alaska State Troopers were advised.
Saturday, January 20
A caller reported a vehicle struck a moose at 25 Mile Haines Highway. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Police assisted the Alaska State Troopers.
A caller reported soil, valued at $420, was stolen from their property on FAA Road.
Police transported an intoxicated person from Second Avenue to their residence.
A 50-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence on Mud Bay Road and was transported to the Haines jail.
Monday, January 22
Police received drug paraphernalia, scheduled to be destroyed.
Police relayed a message to a Main Street business regarding malfunctioning telephones.
There were five traffic stops, five 911 hang-ups, four medical calls and no canine calls.
