Sean Maidy will serve a one-year term on the assembly following Tuesday’s canvass of 23 of the 46 additional ballots in the Oct. 3 municipal election. Also confirmed as winners Tuesday were top assembly vote-getter Brenda Josephson (611) and Stephanie Scott (566). The race for the third seat was too close to call after last week’s election.
Maidy was ahead of Diana Lapham by 28 votes before Tuesday’s canvass. Candidate Michael Fullerton was behind by 30 votes.
After the final tallies, Maidy received 497 votes. Fullerton received 465. Lapham received 463. Andrew Gray received 366.
Josephson and Scott will each serve a three-year term.
Mayor Jan Hill received 566 votes and Joanie Wagner received 497.
The votes will be certified during the Oct. 24 assembly meeting.
