Thank you to our amazing group of electronic recycling volunteers! Watching all of you was like watching a well-organized beehive. A person drove up and immediately the electronics were hauled to the scale, weighed, taken outside, wires cut off, batteries taken out, sorted, put on a pallet, and loaded in the van.

We collected 20,836 pounds of recycling on June 2 and 3, for an 11-year total of 169,402 pounds. And everything we collected that weekend was prepped and in the van by about 3 p.m. on June 3. If you wondered how busy we were, we served 175 customers over the two days.

A special thanks to Reilly Kosinski who makes this all happen, to Margaret Piggott who provided the pizza both days, and to Mountain Market who provided the coffee.

Haines Friends of Recycling is the amazing organization it is because of the help of volunteers like you. Thank you so much!
