A caller reported hearing a fire alarm on Dalton Street. A resident said they were cooking and set off the alarm.

A Main Street business employee told officer a female trespassed from the store after being caught stealing.

The water/sewer department was advised of a pump station alarm.

A property owner on Dalton Alley reported his garage door was damaged.

A caller reported vehicles speeding through turns in a 20 mph zone on Small Tracts Road.

A caller reported an RV parked sideways, taking up two lanes near the cruise ship dock. The vehicle was moved before police arrived.

A caller reported he was locked out of his house on Second Avenue. The caller was told that police couldn’t help.

A wallet found near 1 Mile Haines Highway was mailed to its owner in the Yukon Territory.

A caller saw a person fall off a bike on Haines Highway. Officers responded. The person refused help.

The Federal Aviation Administration sought help locating an overdue aircraft. The aircraft was located at Haines airport.

Sunday, May 28

A caller reported a man shooting fireworks on the beach on Front Street.

The Federal Aviation Administration requested assistance locating an overdue aircraft. The aircraft, the subject of an identical call Saturday, was located at Haines airport.

A bike found on Third Avenue was returned to its owner.

A caller reported he saw a blacktail deer crossing Lutak Road past the ferry terminal.

Monday, May 29

A caller reported a pickup truck and trailer parked in front of a Main Street business for two days. The owner was advised to move the vehicles.

Tuesday, May 30

A caller requested a retraction of her statement regarding a suspicious person near 1 Mile Haines Highway.

Officers relayed a message to a locksmith to help a person with keys locked inside a car.

Wednesday, May 31

A caller reported a barking dog on Main Street.

A caller aked if controlled burns had been reported on Allen Road.

An old, damaged gun was found on FAA Road and turned into police.

Thursday, June 1

Two tourists were transported near 1 Mile Haines Highway.

A caller requested extra patrols of Deishu Drive.

Friday, June 2

A caller reported a moose calf had been separated from a cow on Fourth Avenue. Alaska State Troopers were advised.

A caller reported neighbors being loud on Chestnut Drive. Officers responded, the noise was not excessive.

Saturday, June 3

A caller reported several obstructions on Lutak Road. The obstructions were removed.

A caller reported traffic cones on Front Street. The cones were removed.

An officer made contact with a vehicle partially blocking Mud Bay Road.

Callers reported young black bears at 33 Mile Haines Highway.

A 49-year-old man was arrested for DWI, refusal to submit and driving without a valid license. He was taken to the Haines jail.

Sunday, June 4

A caller reported a motorcycle parked on his property on Piedad Road. A message was relayed to the owner to move it.

Monday, June 5

A long term protective order was received for service. Domestic violence was involved.

Since May 23, there were 57 traffic stops, 16 medical calls and four canine calls.
