The organizers of the Haines Girls Rock Camp would like to thank everyone who came out to our fundraising concert Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Chilkat Center. It was wonderful to have a full house of people supporting music education for our local girls. We would like to thank the musicians who gave their time and talents toward the evening: Jacob Brown-Beach, Tully Devine, Lena Nance and Larry Zarella. This town is full of such amazing talent. In particular, we wish to thank GRC alumni band The Last Minute – Natalie Jobbins and Nora Prisciandaro of Haines and Tatum Sager and Peyton Rodig of Skagway – for showing the crowd what amazing talent already exists in the youth in our communities. You girls make us all so proud! As we plan more events to come, keep your eyes out for announcements. Thank you so much, Haines, for helping us show that girls should be seen and heard!
