A resident reported an vehicle abandoned since last week on FAA Road. The owner of vehicle said it would be moved.

Subpoenas were received from the district attorney to be served on individuals of the Haines area.

A caller in the Eagles Nest trailer park area reported a car horn had been going off for an hour. Police contacted the owner.

Police assisted a motorist who had run out of gas near the airport.

Sunday, Oct. 16

A caller reported his vehicle struck and injured a bear at near 22 Mile Haines Highway. State troopers were advised.

A caller reported receiving a disturbing text message from a relative and requested a welfare check. The incident was referred to Alaska State Troopers as it was in their jurisdiction.

Police verified a 911 misdial. No emergency services needed.

Saturday, Oct. 15

A caller reported juveniles using the benches at the Haines Senior Center for skateboard ramps. HBPD responded; juveniles gone on arrival.

Friday, Oct. 14

An alarm was reported for a Mud Bay Road business. Police responded and learned the alarm was set off by high winds.

Bail was posted to release a prisoner.

A caller reported a blinking turn signal on an unattended borough vehicle. Borough maintenance workers were advised.

Thursday, Oct. 13

A 911 caller requested a phone number for another agency. The caller was told 911 is not for this purpose.

A caller reported a person driving without a valid license in the vicinity of Union Street.

Wednesday, Oct. 12

Police received court papers to serve on several people in Haines.

A man yelled at youths near the police department and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

A business employee near Fort Seward advised police that a person who had been trespassing at the business before had returned to the site on Monday. Officers were advised.

A caller reported receiving harassing messages from an individual and wanted an officer to tell the individual to stop. An officer spoke with the complainant.

The police department received court papers to be served on several people in Haines.
