On behalf of the entire staff at the Sheldon Museum, I want to say thank you to everyone who came out for the Pasta Feed Fundraiser Friday, Aug. 12, and to all of the participants of the third annual Totem Trot on Saturday, Aug. 13. In spite of the rain, we had a wonderful turnout of 45 runners and walkers, with Joe Parker of Whitehorse winning the half marathon with a time of 1:24:39 and Chandler Kemp of Haines winning the 5K with a time of 16:50. I also want to acknowledge our wonderful volunteers who braved the cold and the wet on a Saturday morning to help keep everyone safe along the route. You are the best! Thanks to the help of our generous sponsors, we were able to raise over $7,000 to help offset museum operating costs and support future programming and education. Thank you all for another great Totem Trot!
