A 911 caller reported turkeys loose in the Chilkat Center parking lot. The caller was advised that 911 was for emergencies and to call back on a non-emergency line.
A caller advised that an ATV rider on Second Avenue was not wearing a helmet. An officer was advised.

Canada border officials advised that a white Dodge Ram had just proceeded through the border checkpoint without stopping. State troopers and Haines Police were already aware of an alert for a vehicle matching the Ram’s description. Contact was made with the driver, who was taken into protective custody awaiting the arrival of family members.
An officer made contact with an extremely intoxicated male on FAA Road. The man was unable to care for himself and the officer gave him a ride to his residence.
Sunday, March 20
Dispatch received a 911 call from a child stating she was “texting grandpa.” Dispatch attempted to call the number back but there was no record of the last incoming number.
Dispatch received an open line 911 call. A dispatcher attempted to speak to someone on the other line but was unable to. Dispatch disconnected the call and attempted to call the number; there was no record of the last incoming number.
Dispatch received a report of a vehicle towing another vehicle and leaving the vehicle in a parking lot. Dispatch advised an officer, who learned the driver had permission to leave the vehicle there.
An officer initiated an Office of Children’s Services case.
Saturday, March 19
A bartender reported a trespasser on the premises who had previously been kicked out of the establishment. Police made contact with the man, who had been staring in the windows of the bar, and advised him that he was trespassing.
Friday, March 18
A local man called 911. The man stated that he did not dial 911 and that there was no emergency and he was able to speak freely.
Dispatch received a call from a man stating that the white line at the stop sign of Third Avenue and Main Street is worn off, there is a large pothole in the road on Second Avenue, and that Theater Drive needs to be graded.
An officer noticed a man walking his dogs in a restricted area. The officer advised the man to leave and stay away from the property. Dispatch advised state troopers.

A caller reported an alarm going off in their residence. An officer was advised.
A caller reported people drinking alcohol all over town. The caller refused to give any other details.
Wednesday, March 16
A man called to report an external alarm at his residence going off and requested an officer make a security check of the area. Dispatch advised an officer who made a security check.
A woman called to request a document disclosing her mother’s criminal history. Dispatch advised an officer.
Dispatch received a hang-up 911 call. Dispatch was able to ring the number back and the man stated that he was able to speak freely and there was no emergency.
An anonymous caller asked how to prevent a person from calling or texting them. Dispatch told the caller to block the number or contact the court for a protective order. Dispatch advised an officer.

A woman called to request a welfare check on a man. Officers were advised and made contact with the individual, who was determined to be okay.
An anonymous person called to report a van parked on the sidewalk on Main Street. Dispatch advised an officer, who responded and found that the van had been moved.
A man called to report a woman had broken into his residence. Dispatch advised an officer, who responded.
Dispatch received a trespass order. Dispatch advised an officer who served the order on an individual.
