A 911 caller reported a boat on fire at a storage facility near 0 Mile Haines Highway. Police responded and secured the scene.

Officers investigated suspicious vehicles parked at a Haines Highway business which turned out to belong to the business owners.

Multiple callers reported a fight in progress near the Haines Post Office. Police responded and arrested a 26-year-old man for fourth-degree assault, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Sunday, Feb. 14

A Haines man requested dispatch contact a person for him. Dispatch tried to call the person, but the number was out of service.

A caller reported a man at the Port Chilkoot Dock yelling and swearing. Police responded but the man was gone.

A woman reported hearing four gun shots on Mud Bay Road. She said she was near the gun range, but that it was strange for someone to be shooting so late at night. Police responded but were unable to locate anyone shooting.

Saturday, Feb. 13

A woman reported a vehicle on Main Street had trash in the back and ravens were tearing into it. Police responded.

Friday, Feb. 12

A Young Road resident reported a suspicious woman walking down her driveway. Police responded and spoke with the woman. A relative came to assist.

A caller reported his vehicle was hit in the parking lot of a Haines Highway business. The man said he was unsure who hit his vehicle. Police responded and spoke with the man.

Thursday, Feb. 11

Dispatch received a 911 call from a woman asking an officer to respond to her Fort Seward residence. She said she had just been assaulted and the assailant refused to leave the property. An officer responded and arrested a 35-year-old woman for first-degree attempted burglary, fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief.

A man reported a vehicle partially in the road near 8.5 Mile Haines Highway. The vehicle appeared to have slid off the road. Dispatch asked the caller to check the license plate number, when he realized a man was in the car. Police responded and arrested a 29-year-old man for driving under the influence.

Troopers asked police to respond to 4.5 Mile Haines Highway to check on an injured animal. An officer responded.

Wednesday, Feb. 10

Troopers advised dispatch of a large truck broken down near 22 Mile Haines Highway.

Tuesday, Feb. 9

A caller reported a broken window at a Main Street business.

An off-duty officer reported a vehicle parked in the road on Small Tracts Road. The owners moved the vehicle.

A caller on Second Avenue reported he was being harassed by a person. The caller said the person had left five minutes ago, and dispatch advised him to call back if the person returned.
