The Petersburg Vikings swept Haines during a four-game series last week.
The Viking boys won by scores of 59-33 and 58-17. Haines senior Trevor Cox scored 17 points the first night. Sophomore Dylan Swinton led the team the second game with nine points.
In girls’ competition, the Glacier Bears fell by scores of 48-31 and 49-9. Senior Kayley Swinton tallied 18 points in the first game and senior Autumn Gross added eight points, including six in the first quarter.Swinton missed the second game due to illness.
Both squads face Craig this week, with the girls hosting the Panthers on Thursday and Friday nights. Games were moved up one night due to the ferry schedule.
