All of us at the Southeast Alaska State Fair would like to thank everyone for coming to our Midwinter Ball Dec. 18 and celebrating the season with us! It was so much fun to get together with our friends and neighbors for a night of food, fun and friendship. Thanks to Juan Night Stand for playing fantastic, fun music so we could all dance and sing along. Thank you to John Hunt for volunteering to do all of the sound tech work to make the band sound so great, and to Jim Lampkins for loaning us his sound equipment. Thanks to Andy Hedden for running the photo booth and taking such great pictures, and to Julie Rae and Gina Randles for their decorating efforts making Harriett Hall into Winter Wonderland for the night. Thanks to Sarah J’s for donating door prizes, Deana Stout for housing the band, and to Beth Fenhaus and Shannon Donahue for running the bar. As always, so many people volunteer their time to put on this event, and we are eternally grateful to you all. A very happy new year to everyone in our beautiful little town.
