The Sheldon Museum staff would like to thank everyone involved with the Archives Expansion Project. The lower level, thanks to our new compactor shelves and filing cabinets, will soon become home to the museum’s library, textile, photography, archival, and object collections. We are excited to be moving into this new chapter of the museum’s life that will allow for us to care for more of our community’s history and share it with future generations. The success of this project would not have been possible without the help and generous support of James Simard and the Alaska State Library, Alaska Marine Lines, Dawson Construction Inc., Alaska Guardhouse Lodging, the Haines Borough, Takshanuk Watershed Council, George Campbell, Rasmuson Foundation, the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation, and Museums Alaska. Thank you for a wonderful holiday present!
