For the second year, Becky’s Place Haven of Hope, a local safe house for women and children, was asked to host the “Chocolate Extravaganza” dessert sale at the American Bald Eagle Foundation. Once again the women (and men) in our community stepped forward and baked their hearts out for us. We were able to raise $624! We can’t begin to thank everyone individually, but we would like to acknowledge Haines Christian Center, Presbyterian Church and Alaska Native Sisterhood for their amazing support. We could not have done it without you! We would also like to thank the eagle foundation for inviting us and allowing us to host the event. And a special thank you to all who baked and purchased the delicious desserts! Your support helps to keep the doors open at Becky’s Place. We are so grateful.
