A person reported someone stole $200 worth of meat from a freezer in the Lynnview Drive area. Police are investigating.
A caller reported a large amount of smoke coming from the Picture Point area. The caller was advised it was a controlled burn.
Sunday, Sept. 6
A caller reported a bicycle left at Tlingit Park.
A person reported a songbird with a syringe going completely through it. The American Bald Eagle Foundation was contacted, but said they did not have permits to handle songbirds. The caller was referred to Juneau veterinary services.
A caller reported a flare coming from the Pyramid Island area. Police and troopers were advised.
Saturday, Sept. 5
A power outage lasted about 30 minutes.
A 911 call regarding a reckless driver was received from a person in the Juneau area. The call was redirected to the Juneau Police Department.

Police helped the Office of Child Services with a Haines case.
The Haines High School reported finding marijuana in a student’s bag.
A caller reported large flames coming from the golf course area. She was advised it was a controlled burn.
A person from Anchorage reported she hadn’t heard from a friend who was expected to be driving a car to Anchorage via the Haines Highway. Police tried to locate the man. Canadian Customs reported he hadn’t passed through the border.
A Mathias Road resident expressed concern for a starving cat on her property. The Haines Animal Rescue Kennel was advised.
A caller asked for help with a man who was disoriented and lying in the gutter on Mission Street. An ambulance crew responded.
Wednesday, Sept. 2
A caller reported a vehicle in the ditch near 10 Mile Haines Highway. Troopers were advised.
A person reported an RV parked in front of a fire hydrant on Main Street. Police responded but couldn’t contact the driver. A parking citation was issued.
Tuesday, Sept. 1
Two wallets were turned in at the station.
A traffic stop resulted in a citation for failure to carry proof of insurance and warnings for speeding and failure to carry a driver’s license.
