An officer discovered a door unsecured at a cabin at 4.5 Mile Haines Highway, due to weather damage.

Saturday, Jan. 22

An officer responded to a call from a person who said they were lost downtown.

A caller wanted a person to leave their motel room following a disagreement.

Public works was advised of a broken water line near a downtown business.

The bank was notified its American flag had blown off its flagpole.

State road crews were advised of a tree reported down on Front Street.

Road crews were advised a car had slid sideways on ice at the intersection of Allen and Menaker roads.

Road crews were advised Piedad Road was icy and a motorist was unable to stop at the bottom of the hill there.

A caller reported ice on Mud Bay Road and Mount Riley hill.

An officer responded to a call of several cars off the road on Cemetery Hill due to ice.

Public works was advised of a stop sign down at Battle Road.

Friday, Jan. 21

Haines had a power outage for approximately 25 minutes.

A downtown building owner called for assistance with a building surrounded by water.

Road crews were advised that a large, water-filled pothole at 3 Mile Haines Highway might be a driving hazard.

Road crews were advised a four-way stop downtown was icy and needed sand.

Alaska Power and Telephone was advised a power line on Fourth Avenue was snapping loudly and throwing sparks.

Thursday, Jan. 20

Haines and Skagway had a power outage for approximately 30 minutes.

The owner of vehicle parked in a traffic lane on Small Tracts Road said it was out of gas and would be moved soon.

Wednesday, Jan. 19

Police responding to a reported underage drinking party downtown determined people there were of legal drinking age.

A caller reported an ex-employee would not let them retrieve their vehicle by blocking it in on Allen Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 18

The power went out on Small Tracts Road and the Mud Bay area.

A caller reported their car was damaged in a hit-and-run downtown.

There were 18 medical calls and six calls about dogs.
