For almost 30 years I was a law enforcement officer. I worked for five different agencies in three states and I saw a lot of pain and suffering. The things people do to other people have no limit.

During my career, I was punched, kicked, bit, spit at and upon. I had guns, knives, and even a sword drawn on me, all in service to the communities I served. But the worst thing that can happen to a public servant is to be second-guessed and criticized for doing their job to the best of their ability. It sounds to me like officer Ken VanSpronsen  is doing just that, his job, and doing it well.

Don’t blame him if the district attorney dismisses charges. It happens all the time; the “whys” are a mystery to all but the DA. And if officer VanSpronsen doesn’t want to talk to Tom Morphet or want him on his property, that’s his right and Morphet should respect that.

And why is that newsworthy anyway? From the sounds of this article, I’d say the CVN is the one being vindictive.
