We are grateful for the quick 911 response and medical expertise given our daughter Ellen Rasmussen on March 27 by the Haines fire department and the SEARHC clinic. Dr. John Totten, Dr. Adam McMahon, clinic and fire department staff worked quickly to get Ellen a Guardian medevac, which offered her crucial, additional support. Ellen was in respiratory failure and was later diagnosed with double pneumonia. She spent eight days at Bartlett Hospital and is now home. She is still recouping and we and Ellen’s wonderful REACH care team are working at getting her weight back up. Thank you to all those who have provided hands-on care and for the many prayers for Ellen and our family.
