The Haines Ski and Hike Club will decide Friday whether the 2nd annual Miles of Smiles Memorial Ski Race will be held this weekend. Weather permitting, the event will begin 2 p.m. Sunday at the 25 Mile Haines Highway course.
At press time Wednesday, snowpack at 25 Mile was too shallow to ski on, but snow is forecast for the coming days, said club member Alison Jacobson.
