The residents of Haines Assisted Living have benefited greatly from the gifts of beautiful seafood from Bill Thomas, J.R. Churchill, Sabine Olsson and others. This year it was also a real treat to receive a beautiful load of homegrown potatoes, as well as organic raisins from George and Lyn Campbell. Fish and Game continues to share wild game and an anonymous donor has provided our last two cords of firewood. (Thanks Ed Fabeck for keeping it stacked so well.) Many have helped in other ways: by visiting our residents (thanks Hospice and others); by providing wonderful music (thanks HAL’s Pals, Debbie Knight-Kennedy, Liz Falvey, Men of Note and others); and even helping move our garden boxes (thanks Stickler Construction). Just recently, at least eight Haines Uglys came and decorated for Christmas, and we are putting the sound system they donated last year to very good use. Thank you all for improving life for our valued elders. Merry Christmas!
