Government 101: Officials elected or hired must remember they work for the citizens. Once an official gets the idea they are smarter or don’t need citizen input, they become a detriment to the people they serve.
At a recent meeting, a local official stated they have too much information to allow public input so make decisions on the information they have.
Rest assured this writer will always fight to have open meetings where all citizens will have opportunity to be heard!
This is a reason why at least local government meetings need to be video-recorded and televised.
