Haines proponents of rescinding the reciprocal fishing license agreement with the Yukon Territory should be careful. Your community doesn’t live on love and fresh air. The sportsmen of Yukon leave a lot of money in your community on fishing trips. Your attitude and snub to Yukon sportsmen is duly noted: You don’t attract bees with vinegar. The price of salmon, all things considered, is cheaper in the Superstore in Whitehorse than catching it in the Haines area. Bring a little goodwill and prosperity to your community by having a say in this issue, and for once saying something positive about Canadian fishermen who are a serious part of supporting Haines. I am a long-time Haines fisherman.
