The Haines Animal Rescue Kennel would like to thank the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation for its $800 grant that helped fund our Emergency Veterinary Assistance Program. This program helped 18 Haines residents pay for their pets’ veterinary expenses during medical emergencies. The grant helped HARK grow this emergency assistance program by nearly 25 percent. Our community is fortunate to have the foundation. They make it possible for nonprofits throughout the borough to provide for fellow community members in need.
