The Haines Visitor Center would like to thank all the flash mob enthusiasts who helped make the summer 2013 kickoff at the cruise ship dock a great success, and Clair Floyd and Cheryl McRoberts for filming it and putting it on YouTube. It has 1,300 hits as of May 30! A special thank you to Jackie Ruggirello, Zumba instructor extraordinaire, for her “choreography for all ages,” generous instruction sessions, infectious spirit, and that beautiful, joyful smile. And if you’re wondering who was dancing in the bald eagle costume, stop by the American Bald Eagle Foundation and give a big thanks to Pia Kulakowski, one of the summer interns.
