Haines High School seniors Jess Giddings and Patrick Henderson earned a command performance at the regional music festival in Juneau for their duet of “Danny Boy.” Giddings sang and Henderson accompanied her on accordion.
In a solo performance, Lyndsey Jobbins sang “The Loveliest of Trees,” accompanied by pianist Nancy Nash.
The high school band and choirs each won “superior” ratings at the festival, their best showing in several years. About 25 singers and musicians attended.…
