We know more people wanted to attend the recent Senior Center fundraising luncheon, but the tickets sold out very fast! We are so appreciative of the community support. There will be more opportunities in the future to support our fundraising efforts.

What an awesome lunch this was! Thanks to Adam Richard for donating his time and culinary skills to create a wonderful meal.

Even though they get called upon often, our local merchants were very generous again. Howsers, Olerud’s, Mountain Market and Fireweed Restaurant all donated supplies. Anne Hanssen, the hardworking gem for our local Senior Services, was generous even though she was out of town, by providing flowers for the event. Pie bakers Judy Ewald, Dawn Woodard, Georgia Sampson, and Julie Shook provided the apple pies for dessert.

The serving and cleanup crew all did such a great job. We appreciate the hours of work you put in. It is an encouraging beginning in our efforts to have “community-supported senior services” in Haines, and we raised over $1,100.
