Haines Emblem Club thanks everyone who donated and supported this year’s Community Service Auction. Without support from so many businesses and individuals, we would not be able to donate to the many organizations that look forward to our continued support as well. This year has been especially hard on the Emblem Club, with the loss of the Elks Lodge. We have had to sell a lot of our stuff and we are still trying to determine what functions we will be able to continue. We are very thankful to the American Legion for allowing us to continue our community services.
We were able to raise over $7,000 at the auction, all of which will go back into the community. Again, thank you for everyone who came for dinner and bid on items at the auction.
We hope everyone had a great time, and look forward to the rest of the year’s community service events. Haines Emblem Club meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the American Legion. We encourage members to attend and participate throughout the year.
