I’ve not written a candidate endorsement letter in more than 30 years. I’m moved to do so now because we have an opportunity to elect a remarkable young man to the Alaska Legislature.
Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins is one of the most respectful, humble, hard-working, and motivated individuals I’ve met since coming to Alaska. He is passionate about learning the needs and priorities of all of us in the Southeast. He has demonstrated this commitment by walking in every town and village during this campaign, listening to each citizen he’s visited and promising to continue this one on one communication as our representative.
He is thorough and thoughtful in his study of important issues and is capable and articulate in presenting his views. His positions on the critical issues of oil taxes and education funding are clear and the best for our region and the state, now and in the years to come.
