I would like to publicly thank those responsible for allowing the salvaging of the Thunderbird Motel before its demolition.

As many of you know, this does not “just happen” in these days of litigation and liability.

Reusing is a wise use of resources everywhere in the world, but especially here in Haines where the transport of goods is such a significant part of the costs. I cannot give the names, as I am not sure who was involved in the decisions of the Haines Assisted Living and Hospice boards to make this happen.

But thank you for showing us it can be done.
