A caller requested help with an elderly man with dementia who had become very confused. Officers responded and took the man into protective custody.

A caller reported a large group of children walking on the wrong side of the street and swerving into traffic on their way to the Haines School. An officer advised the chaperones to keep the children outside the fog line.

Multiple callers reported a large boulder in Lutak Road just past the ferry terminal.

A caller reported Fourth Avenue was very dusty with dump trucks going up and down the road and requested water be put down.

Thursday, April 28

The fire hall received a call about a fire at Taiyasanka Harbor. Fire crew and forestry workers responded.

A caller reported a person walking around and looking at a Chilkoot Estates worksite. The caller requested extra patrols in the area.

Tuesday, April 26

A caller reported a vehicle ran a stop sign at Second Avenue and Main Street. An officer gave the driver a warning.

A caller reported that someone had cut the wires and removed the satellite dishes from their downtown trailer court property. The person called back, said the equipment would be replaced and said no further police action was necessary.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police called about relatives trying to locate a family member who had crossed the border.

An officer found a bag of trash on Beach Road but was not able to identify who had tossed it out.

A caller reported a domestic disturbance in Klukwan. Police and state troopers were advised and the situation calmed down by the time an officer arrived, and no charges were filed.

Multiple callers reported a vehicle rollover at a 9 Mile Haines Highway switchback driveway. Fire, ambulance and an officer responded.

There were 17 medical calls and three calls about dogs.
