Sunday, Aug. 1

    Police responded to a report of an underage drinking party at a house on Young Road. They found no underage drinkers there.

    A caller reported seeing youths doing back flips off the Port Chilkoot Dock. An officer responded but the divers weren’t found.

    A Young Road caller reported a vehicle was parked by their house the night before and items were now missing from their garage. An officer located the items beneath other things in the garage.

    A caller reported overdue boaters at Chilkat Lake. The boaters made it home.

Saturday, July 31

    A caller reported people walking by their Young Road home causing a disturbance.

    A caller reported food trash left out on Port Chilkoot beach.

    Troopers were advised after a caller reported people locked in a floating cabin on Lutak Inlet.

    A person reported they found the cat which was advertised around town as missing. The owner was contacted.

    Two bicycles were reported missing from the fairgrounds.

    A caller reported an intoxicated male writing with chalk on the wall of the bank building.

    An officer reported a tree fallen on a boat on Muncaster Road.

    A caller reported someone possibly violating probation.

    A caller reported a vehicle stolen from the ferry terminal. The vehicle was located downtown after a misunderstanding.

    A person at a Haines Highway trailer park reported someone broke into their home and stole their jewelry box.

    A case was initiated after a Fourth Avenue caller reported a person had hit them in the jaw.

    The fair director called police to make sure an officer was on hand for large crowds at a nighttime show.

Thursday, July 29

    A motorist reported hitting another vehicle while pulling out of a Main Street parking lot.

    A caller reported a snowmachine speeding on West Fair Drive.

    A caller reported an alleyway behind a Second Avenue bar was blocked by two vehicles.

Wednesday, July 28

    A caller reported they heard 15 gunshots near 1 Mile Lutak Road.

    An officer responded to a person passed out on a bench near the Port Chilkoot Dock.

    A caller reported a vehicle parked on Main Street all day.

    A caller reported a three-year-old boy walking along Main Street alone.

    A person reported a window at their business at Main Street and Second Avenue had been shattered.

     A caller reported a bear had ripped into their smoke house on Fourth Avenue.

Tuesday, July 27

    An officer responded to a call about a missing teenager.

    An officer responded to a call from a person who wanted to speak to a policeman.

    A caller reported a vehicle parked in the middle of Mission Street and First Avenue South.

    A caller requested to speak to an officer about a fraudulent credit card report.

    A west side lumberyard reported a person left the store with merchandise. The person was located and said they had set the merchandise down before leaving the store.

    An officer responded to a call that a vehicle was in bus parking at the Port Chilkoot Dock.

    An Old Haines Highway gas station reported a person drove off without paying for gas.

    A caller reported hearing shots fired in a residential area near 2 Mile Haines Highway. An officer determined it was fireworks.

    A caller reported teenagers driving a jet ski recklessly at the Port Chilkoot Dock.

    A caller reported youths drinking alcohol at Mount Riley Road.

    A person reported to have taken an unknown amount of prescription pills was taken into protective custody.

    A caller reported a bear on North Sawmill Road.
