I would like to give a big thank you to all involved in the 43rd running of the Alcan 200. We are very lucky to have such dedicated, talented people running and volunteering for this far-from-small event. I would also like to thank Nick Trimble and Eric and Julie Ferrin for their indispensable help at the half-way point in Dezadeash. A big thanks to Jack Smith Jr. for pushing me to run even after my race sled was dead and reminding me that it is about the participation. To all that contributed to the fastest local award, thank you. I would have liked to have actually been fast rather than get the award by just finishing, but that was not to be this year. I hope that next year there will be more locals involved in this race. It really is a unique event to participate in. You can call up many of the prominent snowmachine speed shops in the country and ask for help setting up your sled for this race and they have no idea how to help you because no one else does anything like this. Thanks again to all involved. See you again next year.
