Due to a misunderstanding, the Haines Elks Lodge was closed recently. We are sorry for any hard feelings or inconveniences we caused. I would like to make it known to all Elks members and also to all Haines residents and winter visitors that we welcome you to drop in for a cup of coffee or a hot, buttered rum on any day, Monday through Saturday.
Some folks out there may or may not know that every dollar you bring through our doors will go to Little League baseball, Hospice of Haines, Haines Hoop Shoot, Venture Scouts, people in financial need, etc. So my plea to you is please come in for a cup of coffee and give us your suggestions of how the lodge can get itself out of the financial situation we are in, so we can, in turn, put your welcome dollars back into the pockets of Haines valley recipients.
Also, Haines lodge has a large supply of membership applications that any American citizen 18 years old and with no criminal history can fill out during your coffee break.
