A caller reported a vehicle slid into a business building on the west side of town. There were no injuries but studs were broken in a wall. The accident occurred Dec. 2.
Saturday, Dec. 4
A caller reported a vehicle slid out of a driveway on Front Street, into the road. The person was instructed to use their emergency brake or a block of wood to keep the vehicle in place.
A caller reported a semi truck slid off Lutak Road. Police blocked traffic for a short time until the semi was pulled out.
An alarm went off at a downtown business, caused apparently by a new employee who didn’t shut the door tightly.

A caller reported a lost car battery.
A caller requested a welfare check on an elderly person who had not responded, but before an officer’s arrival, the person in question responded.
A caller reported a vehicle slid off Mud Bay Road. There were no injuries.
Wednesday, Dec. 1
A caller requested sanding and was referred to the public works department.
A caller reported a vehicle broken down on Mud Bay Road. The owner was contacted and said the vehicle would be moved.
Tuesday, Nov. 30
A caller reported an intoxicated person getting into a vehicle on Deishu Drive. Police responded, and the vehicle was parked with no people around it.
A caller reported that a vehicle had been towed from a business downtown.
A caller reported a tractor trailer lost traction going up a Third Avenue hill. An officer blocked the road about 20 minutes so equipment could work on the vehicle.
A caller on the south side of town reported state workers had blocked their driveway with snow, but police determined the snow had drifted there naturally.
A caller reported a vehicle in the ditch at 2 Mile Haines Highway. No one was injured, and the vehicle was moved out shortly.
