A caller reported a chimney fire on Sixth Avenue. A fire crew responded and found the fire was under control and not a threat.
Sunday, Nov. 6
A caller requested a check on their Deishu Drive house while they were out of town. An officer responded and spoke with a neighbor who had been checking the pipes to see if they were frozen.
A caller reported a business next to the post office had an unsecured door. The caller closed the door and said there had been no sign of entry. Police contacted the property owner.
A caller reported an apparently intoxicated male at an Allen Road driveway. Officers arrested the male for drunk driving and possessing a firearm while intoxicated.
Saturday, Nov. 5
Multiple callers reported unsafe road conditions.
Police responded to a 911 hang-up call from FAA Road. An officer determined there had been a dispute that was not physical.
A caller reported a vehicle slid down Mount Riley Road.
Friday, Nov. 4
A caller reported Young Road was slick.
An officer assisted a vehicle in a Third Avenue ditch.
A caller reported a one-vehicle accident with no injuries at 4 Mile Lutak Road. An officer responded, and a tow truck was called. Another one-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported at 13 Mile Haines Highway.
A caller reported a hit-and-run accident at the bank parking lot. The person later found a note on the vehicle that had been covered with snow.
A caller reported their car was in a Third Avenue ditch.
Wednesday, Nov. 2
A caller reported a reckless driver who did not yield at Front and Main streets.
A caller reported a suspicious person walking on a trail near Fourth Avenue. An officer responded, but the person was gone.
Tuesday, Nov. 1
A caller reported a fallen tree at 21 Mile Haines Highway.
A caller reported being harassed the previous night by a person evicted from a downtown apartment.
A caller reported a mudslide near the ferry terminal.
There were 11 medical calls and two calls about dogs.
