Many thanks to all of you who attended the KHNS annual meeting. We welcomed two newly elected board members, Mike Case and Judy Erekson, and enjoyed some great cake made by Carol Clifton. For those of you who couldn’t make it, here are just a few highlights of our year. We upgraded our broadcast studio with a new console and broadcast equipment as a result of a grant from the Rasmuson Foundation. We’ve done a lot of work in Skagway over the last few months working: stabilizing our transmit and receive sites, replacing the old translator and two of our antennas, and installing a new studio transmitter link that gives us better sound quality. We increased our staffing and are focused on providing the best news coverage to be found. We’re also hoping to recruit some new (or bring back some old) DJs to broadcast more great programming from both of our studios. If you’re interested, please email Amelia Nash at [email protected]. Program suggestions and ideas are welcomed and a financial statement of our most recent fiscal year is available at www.khns.org under “About the Station, Reports and Documents.”
