Sealaska tribal member shareholders gathered June 25 for the Corporation’s 38th annual meeting to elect four directors. Shareholders voted to retain four incumbent directors Byron Mallott, Rosita Worl, Sidney Edenshaw and Edward Thomas. Terms will expire at the annual meeting in 2014. The Sealaska Board of Directors announced the 2011-2012 youth board advisor at the annual meeting. Ralph Wolfe, who is Haida, was selected from among interested candidates. Approximately 150 tribal member shareholders and guests attended the meeting in person with over 900 households participating via live webcast. About 200 shareholders live in Haines and Klukwan.
