On behalf of the Sheldon Museum, I would like to thank volunteer judges, Lisa Andriesen and her seventh- and eighth-grade students who participated in the annual Haines History Day competition held in February. This year’s theme, “Debate & Diplomacy: Successes, Failures, Consequences,” inspired 31 exhibits, websites and documentaries ranging from Vietnam to the existence of aliens.
We were pleased to have 12 winning entries advance to the state National History Day competition. As the state competition approaches, we wish our Haines students the best of luck.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you again next year.
