I have been listening to people gripe and reading people’s gripes about the heli-ski industry. It is downright sickening. We live in America, the land of the free. People who own property should be able to do whatever they want on it. Six to eight weeks out of the whole year for just heli-skiing. Why won’t you angry people let other people live free? Take a ride on the helicopter, go ski or snowboard. Find out what it’s like. People from all over the world and Lower 48 come here. They spend money here. I work at 33 Mile and watching the faces of these people that have just come off a run is very rewarding to me and also to them. They are so happy and high on life. The heli-ski business has been around for quite some time. And yet you angry people are still hounding the industry. Why? You talk about having peace and quiet. You’re never going to have it. There is no place that is completely that way, I don’t think. You could get a neighbor move next to you some day that is going to play loud music, have a car without a muffler, so on and so forth. There is always griping about the heli-ski industry and how loud the helicopter is but I really never hear any griping when the mining exploration company is here and running in and out several times a day four or five months out of the year.
