The Venturer Scouts are grateful to the many people of Haines who donated to and participated in our dinner and auction. With your help, we were able to make a big dent in the funds needed for our trip next month to Ecuador. Thanks to the American Legion for the hall and kitchen, Steve Anderson for a great meal, Mark and Frankie Jones for the fish, and Food Services of America for tortillas and cabbage.
We are lucky to live in a community that enthusiastically supports its young people. We are also lucky to have leaders like Greg Podsiki and Kim Larson, who work countless hours helping us set and reach our goals. Thanks to you, our parents, and to Alaska Mountain Guides for challenging us to become better citizens of this great town!
