Concerning the reward offered for information leading to prosecution of the person responsible for the recent bear shootings in the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, I would like to thank the people who’ve phoned me to pledge money toward the above-mentioned cause. Since last week’s letter to the editor, I’ve received pledges from seven groups of people, bringing the total reward fund to $725; this despite the fact that my contact information was unfortunately left out of the last letter. Not surprisingly, all of the people who phoned me voiced a similar outrage at the nature of these seemingly unprovoked and unwarranted shootings.
