The engineer’s estimate for the job was $1.98 million. The borough assembly is expected to award the bid at its July 13 meeting.
Work will begin Sept. 21 and is set to be complete by the arrival of the first cruise ship in 2011.
Roger Schnabel, owner of Southeast Roadbuilders, said civil work will have to stop during the winter, but the work on the new restroom building will be continuous.
