Since our dog died two months ago I have been fostering dogs from Haines Animal Rescue Kennel. It has been a fun and rewarding experience. We are not ready to get a new dog, but at the same time it is very hard for me to not have a dog in my life. This has been the perfect middle ground. So far we have fostered three dogs. They have all been good dogs who have adapted easily to our life. HARK is a small shelter with good care for the dogs, so when we bring the dogs back they run into HARK wagging their tails. I recommend fostering an animal if you have the interest. If fostering is not an option, I also recommend walking a dog on the beach or at Battery Point Trail where they can run themselves silly. I want to sincerely thank HARK for allowing me this opportunity.
