Twenty-four Coast Guardsmen and three 25-foot gunboats arrived in Haines Monday, starting a month-long stationing to escort cruise ships and state ferries in the upper Lynn Canal. 

The deployment includes an office trailer set up in the Small Boat Harbor parking lot.
