Soup enthusiasts of Haines were in luck this week, as the American Legion held its first soup cook-off. Sarah Walker, at the Legion, said the event was soup-er and she expects to do it again next year. Eleven soups competed for the first place prize of any two burgers at the weekly burger feed.
