Lutak Dock engineers have released cost estimates showing some iterations of the design nearly doubling the borough’s available project funds.
The engineering firm Moffatt & Nichol has been tasked with doing the first round of designs on the dock rebuild, and assured the Haines Borough assembly in recent months it could do so within the roughly $24 million left in funding for the project.
