The land beside Mud Bay Road from the bottom of the hill at 4 Mile to the private property past Letnikof Cove marina is not open for wood cutting of any kind, including personal use. Unlike other state land in the area, this land is held by the Alaska Mental Health Trust and the University of Alaska. Any cutting of trees, standing or down, must be done under permit.
