We’re writing to express our strong support for Eben Sargent in the upcoming assembly election.

Eben brings a thoughtful, no-nonsense approach to local government — just what we need during a time of serious financial strain. He’s committed to tackling our budget challenges head-on by investing more time in year-round financial planning and exploring new revenue sources to avoid property tax hikes.

His work on the planning commission showed a sharp attention to detail, a collaborative spirit, and a strong understanding of how the borough operates. He knows how to bring planning and assembly into better alignment, and he’s focused on implementing the most consequential parts of the comprehensive plan — so we get the most value out of every upcoming project.

He’s also put in dozens of hours studying the complex Lutak Dock project and communicating its details clearly to the public. He’s ready to move it forward in a fiscally responsible way.

Eben wants to share better information with the public, create a more welcoming tone at meetings and build an assembly that reflects our community.

He’s prioritizing solutions for child care and housing — two issues that are costing us teachers, borough staff and essential workers. The assembly has done too little here, and Eben is ready to lead.

His approach isn’t a radical shift — just smart, focused leadership that puts community needs first. I hope you’ll join us in voting for Eben.
