I apologize if the headline in last week’s paper “Study suggests borough to owe $500,000 if museum separates” misled readers. The borough would owe $500,000 in PERS liabilities whether or not it continues to employ museum staff. My thinking, when writing the headline, was that the borough would owe ongoing PERS payments if the borough continued to pay for employees.
