Chilkat Challenge Triathlon to return during 4th events

The Chilkat Challenge Triathlon is resuming July 2 after a three-year absence due to pandemic concerns.

The 36-mile race that includes paddling, cycling and running from Mosquito Lake to the top of Mount Riley and back down will be the fourth time the event has been held. It’s open to 100 registrants. In prior years, the majority of competitors have been from Haines, the Yukon and Juneau.
