The Chilkat Valley News will be opening an art show on First Friday at the Haines Brewing Company.
The show commemorates the 60-year anniversary of the paper with a deep dive into the paper’s archive, plus recent photojournalism from Lex Treinen, Rashah McChesney and Will Steinfeld.
Attendees are invited to grab a beer, flip-through newspapers from past decades, and enjoy prints from the last few years of Chilkat Valley news photojournalism.
The paper is also establishing a community board, and editor Rashah McChesney will be on hand to speak with anyone willing to contribute their time and relevant expertise.
The show will remain at the brewery through the end of the month.
